Skincare saviour…

Water! A simple one but drinking enough always helps my skin. Drinking alcohol always affects my skin too so I try to limit alcohol - especially before a shoot. Otherwise, avocado and nuts for healthy oil levels in the skin, and product wise I love anything by Romilly Wilde, Liz Earle’s Hot Cloth Cleanser, de Mamiel night serum, and also Evanhealy moisturiser. I think essential oils and carrier oils would be my main saviour though as they're so natural and simple and you can use them for all kinds of things!

Ritual for relaxation…

During the day: long deep breaths and a really short lie down on my bed with my eyes closed, or a short meditation. If I have more time, reading a book (nothing like a bit of escapism) or listening to a podcast; they are meditation in their own way for me. Just something that gives the stressed side of the brain a break and activates the parasympathetic nervous system.

In the evening: meditation, gentle or yin yoga, a long walk around our village and some fresh air.

Mood boosting food…

I love adaptogens if I need a serious mood boost, like chaga, reishi, ashwaganda, hi sho wu, maca and cacao. Anything cacao but with no refined sugar helps to lift my mood and give me more energy without the sugar rush side effects of other sweets. Also, just fresh seasonal ingredients - specifically fruit - always give me a much-needed lift and contain the nutrients and benefits my body and mind craves from season to season, thus, boosting mood!

Best places to buy vintage…

Oxfam vintage collections, Vestiaire Collective, eBay, Treasures of NYC, collectiv 360, Vinted (french Depop), One Off Piece London (homewares), HomeStyleByFiona on Etsy (also homewares), Worn Store, The RealReal, Moonstone Vintage LA, also Beyond Retro and Rokit are always good for unbranded pieces.

Slow & steady or hardcore HIIT…

Slow and steady all the way! I used to be into more hardcore, intense training, which got me results for sure but wasn't good on a mental, hormonal or emotional level for me. Slow and steady seems to get me more results these days, and more definition than ever, and it also calms and centres the mind by calling for deep breaths and bit of focus and concentration.

Supplements you swear by…

Vitamin D3, oils of some kind (fish or vegan like chia or other plant combinations), 5-HTP for stress and anxiety, DIM helped me a few years back too, a good multi-vitamin, and sometimes probiotics but I try to get a liquid form and just manage my diet appropriately so that I don't need to depend on supplements too much. Food is the best medicine!
